Absolution Calling is strikingly high energy and a great way for Incubus to return to the scene. We're in for a great EP and an amazing album soon, I'm sure. Welcome back Old Friends. It's been to long.

If not now…when???!!!! (1 star)
Ouch. This makes If Not Now When almost look better. It makes Light Grenades almost look good. That tells you how terrible this is. I don’t necessarily care if Incubus stays “funky”. They’ve done numerous non-funky songs over the years. I found the evolution refreshing and expected of any talented musical artist. The line now is clearly drawn between Light Grenades to present. Rave music? really? (2 stars)
I’ll give the rest of this ep a chance, but the first song is pretty dreadful. I will say that Brandon’s voice is a pretty strong here, but the rest of the music? no thanks. I kinda feel like this band hit a flat tire with it’s last album. Hopefully they can pull a better album together.
